Thanks for your interest in employment with Transcrypt International.  We currently have the following position open:

Engineering Intern – EFJohnson product line

The research and development team in Lincoln focuses on the improvement and enhancement of software applications associated with (Land Mobile Radio - LMR) radios used in the public safety market.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

  • To work on the testing of new product platforms as well as enhancements to existing products. 
  • Verify product changes/enhancements. 
  • Actively communicate and coordinate with other development personnel providing constructive inputs and timely feedback.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Performs testing on product platforms.
  • Performs test plan development using established methodologies.
  • Responds to special assignments/projects as directed by management, with an attitude and willingness conducive to getting the job done.  Responds with a level of urgency consistent with the situation.
  • Establishes and maintains good inter/intra departmental communications and the highest level of credibility with coworkers at all levels.
  • Additional duties as assigned or required.
  • Exhibits desirable and appropriate professional behavior including leadership, sense of urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, ability to get along with others, creative thinking and personal integrity to provide for a cohesive, productive unit dedicated to the achievement of corporate goals.

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:

  • Enrollment in a program that will result in a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline (junior or senior status). Or enrolled in a MBA or PhD Program in this discipline.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

  • None required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and require minimal supervision.
